From an early age, my parents taught me to treat people the way I want to be treated myself. That’s why I want to play a part in bringing a little more peace and equality to the world.

Children and adults deserve to enjoy life and positive energy, secure in a sense of belonging. I want to be part of the solution by fostering their development and introducing sport as a great way to learn social skills and make new friends.
After graduating from high school, I spent a year volunteering at SV Werder Bremen football club under the corporate social responsibility program. Most of the time I worked at the kids club, participating in the many initiatives relating to the integration and inclusivity projects. My experiences inspired me to study sport and special education in Oldenburg and to continue helping out on social outreach projects.
Volunteering opened my eyes to how fortunate I had been in my upbringing. The love and protection afforded me are not a foregone conclusion. I want to step into the breach by helping and encouraging kids to develop confidently. What’s more, by sharing the power of sport to build camaraderie and teach resilience, I also aim to help create an open society where everyone feels safe and welcome.
